Vuoden 2020 parhaat elokuvat on palkittu Golden Globe -pysteillä.
Elokuva- ja televisioalan Golden Globe -palkintogaalassa parhaimpana draamaelokuvana on palkittu Nomadland. Elokuvan ohjaaja Chloe Zao palkittiin parhaimpana ohjaajana.
Paras animaatio oli Pixar Animation Studiosin Soul-elokuva. Paras käsikirjoitus puolestaan The Trial of the Chicago 7.
Tv-sarjapuolella julistettiin parhaaksi sarjaksi Schitt’s Creek, miesnäyttelijäksi Jason Sudeikis ja naisnäyttelijäksi Catherine O’Hara. Rosamund Pike puolestaan pokkasi komediasarjassa parhaan näyttelijättären pokaalin elokuvasta I Care A Lot.
Tänä vuonna kultaiset pallot jaettiin etä-show’ssa Los Angelesista ja New Yorkista. Juontajina toimivat Tina Fey ja Amy Poehler.
