Valve on tuomassa markkinoille tasku-PC:tä, jolla pääsee pelaamaan Switchin tavoin suosikki-PC-pelejä.

Ensimmäisten puolueettomien testien perusteella tuomio on ylistävä: ”kaikki pelit, joita testattiin toimivat moitteettomasti ja saumattomasti”.

Valve on julkistanut virallisen listan peleistä, jotka ovat 100 % toimivia SteamDeckillä. Näiden pelien yhteydessä pelaaja näkee vihreän Verified-merkin. Muiden, hieman epävarmempien tapauksessa Steamiin tulee täppä playable (pelattavissa), unsupported (ei tueta) tai unknown, jos peli on niin uusi, ettei sitä olla vielä testattu virallisesti Steamin toimesta.

Testiryhmän perusteella myös ”playable”-arvon saaneet pelit toimivat moitteettomasti. Tässä tapauksessa peleissä saattaa kuitenkin olla kohtauksia tai yksittäisiä ominaisuuksia, joiden toimivuutta ei olla vahvistettu. Yksi niistä on Team Fortress 2.
